Description

This class is for students who have completed Intro to Furniture Making and who would like to continue to improve their joinery skills. Through lectures, demos, and hands-on instruction, students will learn intermediate joinery to include the mortise and tenon, box joint, and half-lap. Students will have more class time to work on projects. Each student will design and build their own piece with input and guidance from an experienced instructor.

Students should email the instructor with ideas and sketches for a few different projects in advance of the start of the class. The first class will have students milling lumber, so come prepared to work with your wood.

In addition to the weekday classroom time, there will be one day dedicated to milling. Total class time is 40 hours.
