We'll take students on a steam bending journey, where each person will create a unique pendant lamp. Students will get lots of practical experience bending pre-milled blanks into sculptural forms. The class will discuss common problems and solutions in the steam bending process, including how to avoid run-out, building a form to fit your goal, and how to create a successful bend in a matter of seconds. At the end of the class, students will combine their bends to create a beautiful hanging pendant lamp. A two-person class would take home two lamps, a four-person class would take home two lamps.

All materials and supplies are included.
Total instruction time is 6 hours, divided into two, three-hour sessions.

Class is limited to four students, ages 12 and up. Great class for families, couples, and friends!

Each private class will be paired with one of our talented and experienced instructors.

What to Wear
Please wear comfortable clothing and close-toed shoes. Boots or sneakers are fine and long pants are preferable. Do not wear loose or baggy clothing and please tie back long hair. No dangly jewelry. Please note, this is a woodshop with no AC. You can expect to get sweaty and dusty. Woodworking is hard work!

Refund and Transfer Policy
Private instruction can be refunded up to three months after purchase, minus a $50 registration fee, if it has not already been scheduled or completed. We require one week's advance notice to reschedule any previously scheduled hours, and we are only able to accommodate one change request. There are no refunds or rescheduling for private instruction hours that are scheduled and not attended.
