About Grounded Heirlooms

This class is offered for free for those who lost their homes in the LA fires. Suitable for beginners and woodworkers of all levels, students will each build their own dining table utilizing donated local material and knock-down construction for easy transport. This class takes places over the course of four days, Monday through Thursday, from 9am to 4pm. All students build the same classic table, with limited variation for family size. We are not able to offer other customization in order to ensure all students complete the project on time.

Please include the number of people in your household in the special instructions at check out. This is to help us plan for table sizes and coordinate material donations.

Tell your friends, family members, or neighbors about this class! But please limit the number of registration to one per person so that everyone has an opportunity to sign up for the class.

All materials and supplies are included.

Please note, it is critical that students arrive on time. We cannot allow students who have missed instruction to join the class late. This is a serious safety concern, and we appreciate your understanding.

Allied Woodshop is located at 4160 Whiteside Street, Los Angeles, CA 90063. Free parking on site and additional free street parking available.

What to Wear
Comfortable clothing and close-toed shoes. Boots or sneakers are fine and long pants are preferable. Do not wear loose or baggy clothing and please tie back long hair. No dangly jewelry. Please note, this is a woodshop with no AC. You can expect to get sweaty and dusty. Woodworking is hard work!
