Young people love to engage their brains and work with their hands, and in this class, we take the students through the entire process of making a custom skateboard by designing, cutting, finishing and assembling using machines and hand tools. They’ll use the jointer and planer to mill the lumber, the bandsaw to cut the deck to shape, and the drill press to drill holes for the hardware. We’ll wrap-up with sanding and finishing before finally assembling all the parts together walking out with a complete skateboard.

This workshop is appropriate for ages 10 and up. Class is limited to two students and total instruction time is 4 hours.

Material cost is $100 per student and includes the hardware. All tools are included.
