Private instruction is an excellent opportunity to improve your knowledge and experience of woodworking tools and techniques. Our instructors will work with you one-on-one on anything from project design, to material selection, to milling, joining, and finishing.
Please contact Allied Woodshop for a conversation about your project before purchasing private instruction hours. You should have a specific idea of what you would like to learn, and we can help from there.
There is a three-hour minimum for private instruction, which allows us to make substantial progress on your project.
407 E Pico Blvd, 10th Floor
Los Angeles, CA 90015
Parking is available in nearby lots for $5-$7/day, cash only. We recommend the lots on Pico Blvd just East of Wall St. Drive up the ramp and an attendant will direct you to a space. Myrtle Ave has 10-hour, metered parking for $4/day and the meters accept credit cards. Street parking is free in most street spaces after 6pm and on Sundays, just be sure to check the signs. For evening classes, do not park in the garages or you risk being locked in or towed.
What to Wear
Please wear comfortable clothing and close-toed shoes. Boots or sneakers are fine and long pants are preferable. Do not wear loose or baggy clothing and please tie back long hair. No dangly jewelry. Please note, this is a woodshop with no AC. You can expect to get sweaty and dusty. Woodworking is hard work!
Private instruction can be refunded up to three months after purchase, minus a $50 registration fee, if it has not already been scheduled or completed. We require one week's advance notice to reschedule any previously scheduled hours, and we are only able to accommodate one change request. There are no refunds or rescheduling for private instruction hours that are scheduled and not attended. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule private instruction, request a change in scheduled hours, or request a refund.
