Q&A
Q: How many hours should I purchase?
A: 3 hours = This sounds interesting and I'd like to try it out!
10 hours = I have a small project I want to build and need help with.
1 Month Unlimited = I have a large project or many small projects I want to build, and I'm dedicated to completing this as soon as I can.
Q: Should I purchase Open Shop Hours or Private Lessons?
A: If Tuesdays and Thursdays are good for you, try Open Shop! Private Lessons are able to accommodate more complicated schedules and keep all the focus on you and your project.
Q: I took the Intro class six months ago. Can I sign up for Open Shop hours?
A: The four month requirement is non-negotiable. Information evaporates quickly when not reinforced, so it's crucial for all Open Shop users to have taken either Intro to Woodworking or Intro to Joinery no more than four months before starting Open Shop.
Q: Can I work with my friend during Open Shop?
A: Certainly! Each person who attends Open Shop must meet all the prerequisites listed above, as well as purchase their own hours. Working together on a project is a great way to keep motivated and enhance your learning.
