How does wood become furniture? Join this introductory workshop and find out! In this class we show you the function and safe use of the most common tools for furniture making. You will use the table saw, bandsaw, jointer, planer, and drill press to make a beautiful hardwood cutting board. Instructors will discuss how to select material, orient grain for a pleasing aesthetic, mill wood, and choose a proper finish.
