Learn how to turn that dirty, beautiful hand plane from the flea market into a finely-tuned joy to work with. This class offers an in-depth lecture on hand planes, their history, and how to restore them. Guiding you is Martin Hernandez, a seasoned shop technician and vintage tool enthusiast. Martin will be presenting a lecture, giving restoration tips and demonstrations, and showing off his personal mini museum of vintage and custom modified hand planes.

Students are welcome to bring in their own used or vintage hand planes for one-on-one consultation with Martin. Don't have a one? No problem! You'll still get a chance to check out Martin's hand planes and learn what to look for in your own treasure hunt.

Class Schedule: Saturday, 4/16/2022, 10:00am - 2:00pm

Class is limited to fifteen students. Class time is 4 hours and does not include a lunch break.
